The Latest Global Sex Survey revealed some interesting figures on Australian's sex lives. According to the Durex survey, Australia is one of the most liberated nations when it comes to sexual indulgence. Some of our kinky habits include playing with blindfolds and handcuffs (40%, well above the average of 22%), and role-playing (22% above the global average). Other dominant features of our sex lives include watching porn with our partners, with 55% saying they are in favour - a surprising greater number of women enjoy this more then their male partners. Australians are also very fond of their sex toys with 47% of all Australians admitting to playing with them compared to the global average of just 20%. In fact, Australia is one of the world leaders in individual ownership of vibrators, trailing just behind Iceland . I guess it can get lonely during those long northern winter nights. Zzz-Zzz-zzz.
There have been positive trends on other fronts: The number of times Australians are rooting per year has jumped from 84 times a year in 2001 to 103 times a year in 2004.
